About Me

My name is Chris Edwards. I'm a multimedia specialist and aspiring sports broadcast professional with a degree in Broadcast Television and Film Production, and a minor in Business Administration at Elon University in Elon, NC. Currently, I'm the digital content manager for the Atlanta Mayor's Office of Film and Entertainment, a film permitting office that's also dedicated to highlighting Atlanta's growing film and entertainment industry.

My media past media experiences are highlighted by internships at highly reputable television and radio stations. Notably, I worked as a studio television production assistant intern at the SEC ESPN Network in Charlotte, NC and at ATL PBA in Atlanta, GA.  At ESPN, I cut, edited and produced game highlights, commercial bumps, promos and interviews. I also aided in content creation for shows like SEC Now and The Paul Finebaum ShowAt ATL PBA, I worked alongside PBA producers to shoot, edit and produce stories and packages for both the television station and its NPR radio affiliate station, WABE 90.1.

Additionally, I'm a former executive producer, show producer, and on-air analyst for Elon Student Television's One on One Sports, an Emmy Award winning sports debate television and radio program. I was also an on-air host and segment producer for Elon Phoenix Weekly a Best News/Sports Feature student-produced show that airs feature stories on Elon Athletics Saturday mornings on ESPN2 in multiple North Carolina counties.

Finally, I'm also a former freelance PR practitioner for Weird Enough Productions, a multimedia production company specifically dedicated to creating positive media images of people of color.

My ultimate goal is to work as a professional sports television or radio broadcaster. More so, I strive to inspire future African-American broadcasters that you can reach your dreams, and make a difference if you put the work in and have a little faith along the way.
